Make the Connection

Is there someone in your life who may be lonely? How can you connect with them? Here are a few ideas:

1. Reach out to neighbors

Maybe drop off a note, or a baked good. Maybe bring their trash cans in from the curb. Or just knock on the door and say hi. How can you connect with someone who may not feel they have support?

2. Schedule a walk and talk

Are you separated by geographic distance from a loved one? Video calls can be draining - but “walking together” on the phone can be an easy way to catch up and show someone you are thinking of them.

3. Bring Kindness to Interactions

Every time you interact with someone, it’s an opportunity to increase connection. If you’re going to the store, how can you be kind to employees or other customers? If you have to call customer service, how can you manage your reactivity to bring something positive to that interaction? You could be that one interaction that changes the trajectory of their day.
